Michelle Williams attended the 2012 Directors Guild of America Awards, which took place on Saturday night (January 28) in Hollywood, California.

Michelle, however, did not walk the red carpet for the event but spoke onstage and accepted the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary Award for "Project Nim"on behalf of James Marsh.

She looked lovely and sophisticated wearing a black gown with an asymmetrically embellished bodice and one shoulder strap with a flower applique from the Chanel Fall 2007 Couture collection.

Michelle accessorized with diamond stud earrings, a diamond bracelet, and a diamond ring.

She finished her look with kohl-rimmed eyes and a natural pink-red lip shade.
